GEN INTEGRATE 8X

The micro adjust knob sticks out a good way which kept my quiver from getting close to the bow. I removed the know and that helps. I should’ve saved $50 and got the non micro version. Also, it’s pretty big and blocky. Bigger and heavier than my pro vx. I don’t know how much help you get with the in-line mounting if the rest sticks out the side of the bow anyways.

Just bought my first Vapor Trail rest for a Mathews Phase 4 and stoked to shoot it soon. If you’re considering a new rest, here’s a quick story about dealing with Vapor Trail. This is my first limb driven rest so I called a couple different times with various questions. I also accidentally ordered the wrong color. So a total of three calls and a couple emails. Every interaction was handled EXCEPTIONALLY well by the Vapor Trail team. One guy stayed later (after he clocked out for the day!) just to walk me through some finer details I hadn’t even considered for setup. He could’ve easily answered my original question and gone home and I would’ve been very happy right there, but he went next level and really added value to my call. That same week they processed my exchange literally within hours of receiving it, then had it back in the mail that same day - and they paid for the postage despite my request to pay for it. Wish every business cared that much. I’ve worked in the outdoor industry for over 30 years for and with some very reputable companies known for customer service. After this interaction with Vapor Trail I would rank them with the best for customer service (guessing I’ll feel the same about the product too once I shoot it). Their stuff isn’t cheap, but good stuff never is. I tried them on advice from a friend and I am not disappointed. If customer service is important to you, consider Vapor Trail. Awesome and accurate rest. Easily installed.

I preordered the new Gen 8X rest when I found out the rest integrates with the dovetail system on the Mathews bows (among others). I have the Gen 7X and have loved the rest tremendously, but the ability to mount to the dovetail system is a game changer. I purchased a V3X but couldn’t use my Gen 7X because of the change in the cable guard. When it arrived, I just had to install it on my Vertix (currently dialed in and ready to hunt). The rest quickly attached to the dovetail mounting system. I was able to paper tune in about 6 arrows. The micro adjust is a breeze. A couple of extra shots had me impacting at 20 yards where I was before. I’ll be ordering another one shortly for the V3X. The design of this limb driven rest gives me peace of mind on my hunts because there are no parts to fail. The consistent performance and longer arrow support during the shot gives me the accuracy I want while competing. Way to go Vapor Trail!

Great job on the Gen 8X. It’s Quiet as a church mouse, simple to install and set up. I am glad I pre ordered. Thanks guys.
